The PR Center conveys the latest information concerning Kiturami to our customers quickly along with happiness.
Kiturami (CEO Kim Hak-soo) announced that its 200kW Micro CHP (Combined Heat and Power) System has attained UL certification for safety standards in North America and successfully completed its first exports to the U.S. market.
Kiturami’s Micro CHP (Combined Heat and Power) System is a high-efficiency distributed energy system based on Hyundai Motor Company's CNG (compressed natural gas) bus engine, achieving a total energy efficiency of 85%. It uses natural gas as fuel and recycles the waste heat generated during power generation for heating, hot water, and cooling, thereby minimizing energy loss.
In particular, since the system directly generates electricity and heat inside a building, it can also be used as an emergency power source to supply power to critical facilities during external power outages.
With the U.S. currently facing a power supply crisis, distributed power generation systems have emerged as a key alternative. Among them, Kiturami's Micro CHP has won praise as a next-generation solution that integrates energy efficiency, eco-friendly features, and economic feasibility.
Besides the recently launched 200kW model, Kiturami plans to complete UL certification for other models in its lineup within the year. The company is expanding its product offering to meet diverse use demands in the U.S., including commercial buildings, multi-family housing, and public facilities.
A company official said, "Drawing from the success of our North American certification and Micro CHP exports, we plan to proactively navigate the evolving U.S. distributed energy market and continue to make strides with our technological innovation and localization strategy."
