The Kiturami Group (Chairman Choi Jin-min) announced that it has provided “Kiturami Scholarships” to eight local governments including Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
Scholarships worth KRW 100 million were provided to Gangseo-gu, Seoul and Seo-gu, Daegu. In addition, Jangheung-gun, Haenam-gun, Gangjin-gun, and Boseong-gun in Jeonnam Province as well as Uiseong-gun and Chilgok-gun in Gyeongbuk Province were given KRW 50 million each.
The Kiturami Scholarship is provided to encourage the academic studies of scholarship recipients who were recommended by each local government and organization.
“We hope students receiving the Kiturami Scholarship will be able to ease their financial burdens and pursue their dreams. Going forward, the Kiturami Group will fulfill its corporate social responsibility through various social contribution programs,” an official of the Kiturami Group said.
The Kiturami Group has carried out social contribution projects worth KRW 61 billion in all over the past 41 years, including scholarship programs as well as academic research support projects and development funds for educational institutions through the Kiturami Culture Foundation and Kiturami Welfare Foundation.
