Kiturami Group concludes “Kiturami Scholarship 2023,” giving hope to 50,000+ people for 38 years

The Kiturami Group (Chairman Choi Jin-min) announced that it has empowered more than 2,300 people this year through the “2023 Kiturami Scholarship Program.”

 

Over the course of 2023, the company provided a total of KRW 2.8 billion in scholarships to students with excellent track records and children from low-income families who were recommended by 42 local governments.

 

The Kiturami Scholarship Program is a representative social contribution effort of the Kiturami Group that has been operated since 1985 through the Kiturami Culture Foundation founded by Chairman Choi Jin-min with his own contributions.

 

Chairman Choi's social contribution philosophy of “Guaranteeing minimum education and enabling equal educational opportunities for all” allowed Kiturami to spread hope by awarding KRW 34 billion worth of scholarships to 50,000 promising students and children for 38 years.

 

An Kiturami Group official said, “We hope that the students who received Kiturami scholarships will take a weight off their financial burdens, and pursue their dreams. Kiturami Group will commit to constantly fulfilling our corporate social responsibility through various social contribution projects.”                  

 

Meanwhile, Kiturami Group has been carrying out social contribution projects worth a total of KRW 53.3 billion for 38 years, including scholarship programs, academic research support projects, and educational institution development funds through the Kiturami Cultural Foundation and the Kiturami Welfare Foundation.
