- Four types of gas boilers equipped with a gas leak detector and an earthquake detector were certified as disaster safety product

- Kiturami is the only company that has installed the double safety system in gas boilers in Korea since the mid- to late 1990s 

Kiturami Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Haksu) announced that its gas boiler product—which has a dual safety system of gas leak detector and earthquake detector—has obtained "Disaster Safety Product Certification" from the Ministry of Interior and Safety.

With the disaster safety product certification system, the government officially certifies the quality of products that are closely related to public safety.

Four popular gas boilers were certified as disaster safety products: △ Down-fired New Condensing Plus, △ Down-fired New Condensing L10, △ Down-fired ECO Condensing L11, and △ Twin Alpha ECO L10.

Kiturami is the only company that has installed the double safety system consisting of an earthquake detector and a gas leak detector in gas boilers in Korea since the mid- to late 1990s.

△ If gas leaks inside the boiler, the gas leak detector stops the boiler and informs the user of gas leak. △ If earthquake or strong vibration is detected, the earthquake detector stops the boiler to prevent secondary damage such as explosion or fire.

Kiturami Boiler's safety technology was touted as a “technology ahead of its time” when the boiler reportedly stopped after detecting the earthquakes in Gyeongju in 2016 and Pohang in 2017.

“We are continuously upgrading our disaster safety technology based on the principle of safety first so that consumers can use our products worry-free even in unexpected disasters and accidents,” a Kiturami Boiler official said.
