Kiturami Group (Chairman Choi Jin-min) announced that it delivered the ‘Kiturami National Engineering College Scholarship’ to the Korean Association of the Deans of Engineering Colleges (Chairman Choi Se-hyu).
Chairman Kwon Oh-kyung of the Kiturami Cultural Foundation, Chairman Choi Se-hyu of the Korean Association of the Deans of Engineering Colleges, and other officials attended the ‘Kiturami National Engineering College Scholarship Delivery Ceremony’ held at Conference House Dalgaebi (Jung-gu, Seoul) on the 6th.
The scholarship amounts to KRW 546 million, and 182 scholarship students recommended by the deans of engineering colleges from 91 universities nationwide will be supported with KRW 3 million each for the purpose of motivating academic pursuits.
The Kiturami Group has actively undertaken various social contribution projects through the Kiturami Cultural Foundation, which was established in 1985 with the personal funds of Chairman Choi Jin-min, the founder of Kiturami Boiler. It continues to contribute to the talent development and industry-academia cooperation through the ‘Kiturami Scholarship Grant Project’, which has provided KRW 34 billion in donations to 50,000 students, academic research support projects, and educational institution development funds.
A Kiturami Group official said, “We hope that this will be an opportunity for engineering students from universities nationwide, poised to lead the development of Korean industry and science and technology, to devote themselves more to their studies,” and added, “We will perpetuate tangible interest and support, so that future talents can achieve meaningful outcomes in their respective fields.”
