Kiturami Group (Chairman Jin-min Choi) announced that the ‘2024 Kiturami Scholarship Project’ has provided scholarships to roughly 2,700 students in 40 municipalities nationwide this year.
The total amount of scholarships provided this year is KRW 2.9 billion. Recipients were selected from among middle and high school students and college students based on certain criteria, such as low-income households and meritorious academic performance.
The Kiturami Scholarship Project is a 39-year-old social contribution initiative that was conceived based on Chairman Jin-min Choi’s (founder of Kiturami Boiler) philosophy of nurturing talents.
Over the past 39 years, 50,000 students have been rewarded with Kiturami Scholarships, with the cumulative amount having reached KRW 35.9 billion.
A Kiturami Group official said, “We hope that students who have received the Kiturami Scholarship will focus on their studies in a conducive environment and thrive in various fields of society,” and added, “We will continue to promote various social contribution activities to nurture talents in the future.”
Meanwhile, the Kiturami Group has been undertaking social contribution activities totaling KRW 59.1 billion over 39 years, including scholarships, academic research support projects, and educational institution development funds through the Kiturami Cultural Foundation and Kiturami Welfare Foundation.
